For many of us, we pride ourselves in being from Hawaii. The ocean breeze, the local food, beautiful mountains, and ever gazing sunsets, and most importantly the Aloha Spirit. Hawaii our home, is known to the world as Paradise.

For some, it's just not as beautiful. Since in 2013 to 2016, our islands have been with the reality that paradise isn't all sunshine and rainbows. The statistics for Domestic Violence cases have ballooned at alarming numbers and increased by 615%. With over 450 calls a day to the Domestic Violence Action Center.

The Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC), led by M.A. Chief Executive Officer Nanci Kreidman, in the previous 18 years, DVAC has completed 65,533 safety plans, conducted 60,429 risk assessments, made 8,679 court appearances, opened 6,802 legal cases, had telephone contact with 288,163 callers and trained 73,731 students, educators and service providers

Guild Mortgage's Regional Vice President Bill Rizzo is a huge supporter of the movement of raising awareness of Domestic Violence and giving people voices to speak out about it. Mr. Rizzo, contribution for the past years have helped women across our state participate in DVAC's Heart to Heart Luncheon. "Heart to Heart was a raging success. Moms and their daughters came to share lunch and learn about the red flags and realities about dating violence. With Bill Rizzo's generous and abiding support, we create the opportunity for survivors to speak out, families to communicate a little about their appreciation for one another and share our deep hope that girls can make good choices about their dating partners."

To assist in helping this program continue it's success by assisting women, men, and children across our state. Giving them a voice to be heard. The time comes now, Hawaii. Show our support in numbers, let our voices be heard to break the silence and stop the violence. Create the Paradise the everyone can enjoy.

So Join, us June 24th 2018 at the Honolulu Convention Center and Dance for a purpose. Pre-Sold Tickets are $25 and $30 at the door. All proceeds towards this event will go to Domestic Violence Action Center.
